china post

haven't been updating this blog, today's post will be solely on the China trip.
how i wish i've the discipline of si cheng when updating blogs.

overall, the trip to China was really an eye-opening one. meeting brothers and sisters from another country, meeting them for the first time, and they expressed themselves clearly by showing agape love towards us. I've said this many many times, these Chinese folks really challenged me to live a life of offering my best in whatever i do. No one will really imagine there're people that can be saved in China, being a communist state, with the mentality of all Chinese should be either Buddhist or Taoist. God just smack me in the face, showing me how mighty he can be,and is still in the business of saving souls anywhere, anytime. I thank God for GLCC's ministry in North-East China, being a mission-minded church. ETA teachers are also a blessing, stooping down to such a low level to reach Chinese students, leaving their comfort zones to fulfill God's plan for them. These really struck me so hard. The $874 was worth it,much more than spending it on shirts, pants, shoes etc, spending it on heavenly treasures rather than earthly pleasures, and i thank God for that :)

i wanna thank God for these people, making my trip so fun and enjoyable, and i see Christ in them.

1)Pastor Paul
the glcc booklet has said it all,you gotta hang out with him to know more about him. He isn't really what what the booklet said, he's far more than that, being funny and lively, lifting up the mood of the trip. I've learnt that there's a time to be serious and a time for pure fun. His testimony is just amazing. The things he said on the second day was the one that left something for me to ponder about.

2)Deacon Robert
don't really know him much, got to see his true-self during this trip. A man of faith, trusting God in everything he does.Heard that he read the Bible over and over again for more than 4 times! He can also be pranky at times! Thank God for Uncle Robert's ministry in China. He's tesimony on how he got saved really left me thinking,a very smart man trying to prove PC's sermon wrong and had nothing to say when preached on the book of Job.

3)Kay Hong
i've started to know this brother much better when he got back during the winter break. a Godly man called to serve as the ETA coordinator in China, playing a good host as we lived in his house.Had lots of stuff to learn from this dear brother on how he carried out his work and living a life solely dependent on God himself.

4)May
used to call her auntie May! haaha, her hospitality just proved that it's all about Christ in whatever she does, seeing the way she treat Christians and unsaved folks. All for him!

5)Victor Guo
never met this guy before until our arrival at Chang Chun Airport, having a great reception from him and just wanna do almost anything for us. his testimony is also a powerful one, blinded in one eye,and still want to read the Bible. super good guy!

there're still lots of people to give thanks for, they're not forgotten and i'll pray for them daily.
will you join me in praying for China?
