Shah's Birthday!
Friday was good, thank God for the powerful sermon which totally blessed my heart.
Shah's birthday was great too, too much details to go into. So let's just see the pictures and see how fun that day was. Wimin was there too! Hahaha.
Managed to take a few nice sun-rise shots. If Wimin doesn't insist in waiting for the sun-rise, I will miss the wonderful opportunity to witness such a magnificent sight. Totally enjoyed the entire night eh, and the joke of the night was Ben the Pinocchio :)

He that hath no rule over his own spirit, is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. - Proverbs 25:28
Thank you Lord for using this verse to speak to me. I strive Lord, to be more like you. To be holy as thou art holy.

God is good
Just wanna thank God for being so good all the time, I was bring a pile of black cloth of Ian's place to wash up. Needed a taxi to transport as the black cloth was very bulky and there happened to be a taxi parking
infront of church, and the driver happened to return to his taxi after a time of coffee with his friends in Adam. I got into his taxi, and started talking to him.
He told me that he is a Christian, and visited our church before, knowing Pastor Paul and Pastor
Sinon. He's from
Paya Lebar Methodist Church and was a tremendous blessing to me throughout the journey to Shun
Fu Road. He shared about his testimony, and how Jesus just changed him completely. He strives to be the Light of the world, the Salt of the earth and will play Christian music in his taxi, he sang to me as well, even when there are passengers and when people started to ask him about Jesus, he will when the opportunity is right and share with them the Gospel.
Wow. I am indeed blessed by this guy! He is worshiping God in this way too, and God is indeed glorified through these acts. He gave me
lots of tracts, and to me, he is a soldier of God. Fighting the battle on the winning side, knowing that time is short.
When trials come, let me realise that it comes from you Lord.
Teach me what it means to be surrendered in your will, there are still lots of things to learn.
I know you are good to us, your love was evident on Calvary.
I am waiting for this day to come again
Come back soon Eric
Khaw!

Grace
I'm just amazed by King David. There are many things that he did sometimes just kept me thinking, when he said he will let God fight for him instead of going out to fight for himself. That to me demands a huge portion of faith, and that statement isn't as easy as it seems. How he killed Goliath, how closely his heart was knitted with God's heart. Simply amazing..
But no one is perfect. King David has his flaws as well. He was obsessed with women, and he had countless of them. And that is why his son, King Solomon had more wives then David himself. The bible made it clear to us that when the first generation did something bad, their next generation will surpass them indeed. Something that caught me thinking for awhile. God said he was the one who gave David his wives, so did God help him sin? God's hand was with David all these while even though he had many wives. David was obviously in sin, yet God still fight for him. Why, why and why..
I didn't really struggle with this, just something that made me think on the lessons God wanted me to learn. I somehow managed to understand it in about 3 days, the answer was simple. God is gracious. It is in his will that all these things will come to pass. David was at fault in the start and God didn't want that to happen, but David wanted his way instead of God's way. That somehow hardened his heart, yet God is gracious towards him! Wow, that
completely blew my mind away.
Recently read Eric's blog again, and was blessed by that post. Although that post was like dated 17th January 08, I still find it meaningful and it is still applicable to me even right now. He said " Who am I to question God's
sovereignty?" This statement will be hidden in my heart forever. We should be thankful that he sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for us on the cross, yet we still want more, and more answers.
The beauty of God will have to be his mysterious way of working, and our human mind will never be able to comprehend everything he has for us.
Break me Lord, for you use broken things.
