The dawning of a new era.
As 2008 comes to an end, I really wanna take this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for how he had taught me valuable lessons throughout the year. The key lesson was God's graciousness. I remember there was a time when I questioned God on why he kept using and blessing people who falls back to the same sin, like a dog returning to it's vomit. God then rebuked me a few days later, signaling what a gracious God he is to his people, giving us something we do not deserve, and sometimes we ourselves still do not treasure the things God gave. This is ultimate man! No man is able to be like this, no one..
It's thanksgiving time!
1) Thank God for a good China trip with Pastor Paul, Deacon Robert, Dennis, Christine and etc, the people in China really were very warm, with the likes of Kay
Hong and family, Victor
Guo and family, Dora and the ETA Teachers. Guys, you all should go and visit China one day, you will be blessed, this I can assure you this. The food in China was also awesome. I went back again on the 17
th to 24
th Oct, to Shanghai this time. No one can ever resist the
Xiao Long
Bao there man, seriously.
2) Getting admitted to Republic Polytechnic is also another landmark in my life. I didn't do well for my O
levels, even though I
ponned POA paper and passed every subjects, the results were not impressive at all, with 27 points for L1R4,
deducting one point for
CCA, resulting in a 26 pointer for L1R4. I was allowed to go to most of the courses as I met the courses minimum criteria with all the passes, but with that kind of score, others who did better will be able to be ahead of me in many areas. And with many smart people
existing in this world, the slots were very competitive for Polytechnic education. But somehow, a few people were praying for me, and God graciously gave me my first choice in Sports and Leisure Management. This was amazing and I couldn't really believe that I managed to even get in due to the competitiveness in the market. God is indeed gracious and merciful towards me.
3) Youth ministry had an explosive start this year, where many people questioned the leadership when Tribes should be removed, and in turn, implementing the small group system. God just showed us the way and by faith, many people were split into small groups and till today. I believe that it was better than the days of tribe. Although there were tribes that were successful, there were plenty that wasn't doing well. So small group still works in a sense. Worship also had a different feel nowadays. I really enjoy Youth
Friday's more now :)
4) This year, I took over the Vibe ministry in October. It's really amazing because I myself wasn't really involved in Vibe for as long as Vibe existed and God somehow gave me a concern in Vibe when Ian shared briefly on
Vibe's current situation. It was
truly amazing when many young people came and serve in Vibe. This is God's ministry and the purpose of doing Vibe is for souls. So please keep praying for Vibe, we all need it and let's seek the Lord in this direction.
5) There are still many things to give thanks for, but I wanna thank God for the December period, where we had
Uth camp,
SportLight, Christmas Musical and Vibe. This was the peak period for most of us, and I wanna thank God for how he had sustained his people, being with them through this time. It was a hectic schedule for me as I am involved in every area. I was really tired back then, but God proved himself by being faithful towards me. Giving us promises in Matthew 11:28. Now we can all take a break and enjoy the fruits of our labour.
There are also many people who really encourage and pick me up this year, I am really thankful for these people. I can't really name everyone here, but you all know who you are!

Something that I kept dwelling on, and it is found in Psalms 90:2.
I thank God for Jesus Christ, because in the garden place, he saw the cross, yet he prayed not his will be done. What more can I say Lord?
May this impending year renew my walk with God and grow me, this is your life Lord, use it for your glory.
To God be the glory!

Time passes so fast, without thinking, it is the December period already. The Aussies are back. Left Cantona and Mickey James. I'm also missing Shawn Vasoo. I thank God for his ministry towards me for the past few years.
Thank God for the Youth Camp that we had last week. Really blessed by the preaching of God's word. I will give thanks for the various people next year, who encourages me so much for the past year. I don't see the point of listing down now, due to the packed schedule that I have.
As December is the Christmas period, let's pray that God will touch lives and reveal himself to the nations. I trust that God will work wonderfully this season. And I'll be making a point to attend morning prayer everyday, since it's my holidays, I need a breakthrough in this area to overcome the slothful nature in me!
So, let's wait till next year, and I'll thank God for the various people that God had placed in my life for the year 2008.

School was okay. I took Zoe's unglam picture la, don't know which idiot then go and delete it. The cool clique is going to expand soon eh? With the arrival of Jeremy. Hhaha.
After school met up with Luz Luz and Mountaineer Cheng for dinner at Chua Chu Kang. It was kinda fun, with myself and Cheng teasing each other on the usual topic and Luz was exposed to the craziness between the both of us. After dinner, went to find my sister who was working at the Pasa Malam in CCK. It was hilarious as I stood infront of her while taking her picture and the cool part was her not noticing me at all! Until I shouted her name. Her facial expression was priceless man. Hahaha. We then played her games as she is incharge of them. She gave us extra balls and we won something that Luz brought home for his bro.
Later that night, went to meet those Deyians, and hmm.. Danielle is like super hot up there if you people noticed. Hahaha. I know I rock. Left home after that and am really really tired.
Life with a camera is so fun, right Danielle? HAHAHHA :)
