In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

I was thinking recently on the function of light. The Bible had many explanations on the definition of light. All its function and etc. But to me, the ultimate purpose of light is revealed in this verse. Which gives God the glory at the end of the day.

Last Sunday Service was good. We sang the song "Heart of stone" during worship, and it somehow struck me, leaving me thinking. I believe that when people watch gory movies which includes lots of blood, random killings and stuff, they will be affected deeply. How the actress was brutally murdered, how deep an impact it left for the family members and we can go on and on. But when it comes to the person of Christ, Wow! We all behaved differently. It somehow affected me on Sunday. One part of the lyrics go " Lord break this heart of stone." When I was singing that song, I thought of Isaiah 53. a passage which describes how Christ was to come down to die for us, and a verse mentioned " his face is more marred than any man", describing how disfigured he was. The passion of the Christ was a good movie, but comparing with the real events, it was far off, as Christ was more marred than any other man, which includes the actor who played as Jesus in that show.

Was led to type out this post, as we go about our daily ways, let us remember what Christ had to endure to redeem us from the punishment of Sin.

Oh Lord, break this heart of stone, and not let me go till my heart is softened.
